Scallops

A.M. .Seafoods has always specialised in the production of king and queen scallops. 

King scallops are sourced in season from right around the coast of the UK from fishing vessels that we have worked in partnership for a long time.  The scallops are transported directly to the factory in dedicated refrigerated wagons to ensure we receive and can process the scallops as soon as possible.   It is this very strong supply base that enables us to offer our customers guaranteed supply all year round.   We are proud to count several well known UK and European high street retailers, as well as UK and European food service suppliers on our list of customers.  We supply whole scallops, scallops in the half shell and also scallop meat in a variety of package sizes.. 

The queen scallops are mostly caught in the waters around the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea and are in season from June to September.  The product is caught over 24 or 48 hours and may be offered either as whole, in the half shell or as meat.  

The finished product is either supplied fresh, or frozen on a modern tunnel blast freezer.
